Hello,

All of these pieces have sort of a regal theme. The crown, the Fleur De Lis, a sort of modified Fleur de Lis. The gilt spoon with the crown has Lois (mother) and Doris (child)Witten on backside of the bowl. Doris was born 1910. I don't think there was a coronation til 1953 for Queen Elizabeth So it wouldn't make sense that the mother/daughter would be on spoon if daughter was 43 years old. Do any besides the obvious fork and spoon match?

Also, on the back of the Shell spoon where do they hide the marks? There are none at all.
Thank you.

The first spoon was made by London maker Cornelius Saunders & Frank Shepherd - try as I might, just cannot make out the hallmarks for a date. The spoon and fork are Towle's 'Old Colonial' pattern, introduced in 1895. The spoon with the fleur-de-lis is an Italian souvenir of Florence, it is most likely silver and may or may not have a small '800' stamp indicating the fineness...

Should have mentioned that if you take clear pics of the hallmarks on the English crown spoon the date can almost certainly be discerned. Don't know what type of phone you're using, but my older Samsung Galaxy 10 has the ability to take very clear images of marks and there are apps available to help as well. Have found that details often show up in the camera close-ups that, with my failing eyesight, I can't even see with a loupe...

The hallmarks indicate sterling assayed in London, 1895/96.
