ahwt Posts: 2334 Registered: Mar 2003	posted 08-23-2020 11:36 PM This is a small unmarked pewter tea scoop that I thought was interesting. The wear on the handle seems to indicate a fair amount of age or lots of use in a short time. I think these were cast and that allowed the decorative ribbed back to be made without much handwork. To me it looks for sure like the piece was patinated- the age appearance of wear is fairly easy to achieve on mold cast pewter- I have done it by mistake far too many times.
