This is a small unmarked pewter tea scoop that I thought was interesting. The wear on the handle seems to indicate a fair amount of age or lots of use in a short time. I think these were cast and that allowed the decorative ribbed back to be made without much handwork.

Very interesting design. To me it looks for sure like the piece was patinated- the age appearance of wear is fairly easy to achieve on mold cast pewter- I have done it by mistake far too many times. The design is still very intriguing, I haven’t seen anything quite like it before

A scoop like this is not uncommon in silver, but I have not seen one with a design on the back as this one has.
