Half of the partnership of Lockwood & Scribner might have consisted of Frederick Lockwood who was at 265 Pearl St, New York, New York in Dogget's 1848 -- 1849 New York City Directory.

A Frederick Lockwood who was a watchmaker and born about 1803 in Connecticut is listed in the 1850 U S Federal Census for New York, New York.

A Frederick Lockwood in the same age range as above is listed in the 1840 U S Federal Census for New York, New York. His name appears immediately after a Benjamin Lockwood who was between sixty and seventy years old.

Frederick Lockwood is listed in the 1857 New York City Directory as a jeweler at 146 Canal.

Frederick Lockwood is listed in the 1860 U S Federal Census for New York City as a jeweler with a Joseph T Maker or Y Meeker who was born about 1830 in Connecticut and was a jeweler in the same household. (There was a Joseph Y Meeker who was born in Norwalk, Connecticut in the right year and who was a jeweler).

It looks as though Frederick last appears in the Census's in 1870 with his son Frederick in Greenville, New Jersey without an occupation. The younger Frederick is a broker.
