Hello -
I am very new to this but very curious - Does anyone have info?

I have what I believe is a Silver "Wine Decanter" there is no glass on this piece.

It stands 9 3/4 inches tall is decorated with a grape vine motif outside (center) which is raised as opposed to being engraved (hope this the correct why to describe). The spout has a screw on/off cap(also silver)and on the inside looks to be the remains of cork also from the spout to the body of "decanter" is what I assume to be strainer holes

The only mark I can determine is on the very bottom which is an engraved (?right phrase) Sphinx.

Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi- We have a sterling coffee/tea set with the same mark and we are actively seeking an answer to the manufacturer. Is it possible that it could be Gorham prior to their marking their name on their sterling?

Thanks in advance for any response!
