Long time lurker, new member to SMP as of half an hour ago!

Didn`t use to think very much of silver at all unless it was in the form of jewelry until moving to rural France 4 years ago. With all the amazing brocantes here, it was kind of impossible not to start getting interested in makes and markings and the like biggrin

And that's pretty much it! Have acquired my first few pieces for the house we've just bought and are starting to move into! Exciting days smile smile Don`t know much about silverware for sure, but am just going with what I like the look of for the price it's labeled at for now; rather than rarity and value smile

Hoping to pick up some smarts around here so I don`t keep going in and coming out blind !!

Love cats because they are cool, not because they taste good <3

Welcome. We are always glad to see a lurker become a member/participant.

It would be nice to see some photos.

.... going with what I like the look... is a good way the start exploring silver. Photos will help us to share with you and to learn from you.
