Hi, I am an artist, from Louisiana, living in Central New York. I am a novice in your world of silver, but am interested in learning. I bought a tupperware box of assorted flatware in a junk store for $11, and there is a set of silverware and some individual pieces within this box that I am trying to find information about.

Have emailed with a specialist and he does not believe this set is related to Mobile Knapp silver. Will take them to a jeweler today to get their ideas.

The hallmark is in a keyhole shape with a design that appears to be a knight with a shield and staff or spear, followed by KNAPP90. There are no other markings on the silver.

Many thanks in advance for your thoughts,
Melissa

Welcome, Melissa.

As is mentioned in the yellow box above on how to participate in the forum, photos are really important. There are so many different markings that it is hard to say very much unless we can see good clear photos of the overall design of the objects and sharp closeups of any markings or details.

Also, as is mentioned in the yellow box above we ask that new members let us know the why of your question. Is this flatware something you bought for your personal collection of silverware, or to use on your table for your dining, or is it something that you might be selling in the near future and would like help identifying?

Thanks,

Kimo
