This is a very heavy European snuff box, lots of marks none of which did I find.

On the snuff -- is that a conjoined T & F in the large cartouche? The marks look quite like those used in Poland c 1810

Sorry about the poor pictures on the snuff box, they were taken before I figured out digital photography. It is a TS conjoined.

On the snuff box - 13's are marks for Austria, Germany, Poland... The small flower looks like the one in Tardy's for 17/18th Germany (Tardy's p.38) Could you give a guess for the first mark?

Wyler shows a conjoined TS in a similar cartouch in the D-M German Cities section, but the number listed -- Lord, what a frustrating book! -- is not listed in the index.

Ok Ok I will go to the box Mon. or Tues and take a better picture. Wyler is a copy of Rosenberg, I have Rosenberg and the mark is not the same. I told you I check all the regular references, although I have been known to miss the obvious. This is just rather frustrating because there are some many marks, none of which could I find.

Here are the marks in a better photograph. The first is a H with something above it, the second a TS conjoined, the third a flower, next a 13, finally what looks to me to be the head of a unicorn, but I may be wrong.

I am SO glad to hear that I'm not the only one who is totally frustrated with Wyler's! It was supposed to make my life EASIER, not harder!
