Hi.

I have a pair of small candlesticks with 84P marks on them.

Any ideas on these?

Thanks
Gary

84 is a common mark on Russian silver, referring to quality in zolotniks - I think 84 is the same as 87.5%. However, your candlesticks don't seem to be Russian - the other mark might perhaps be Hebrew characters? So I wonder about an emigre Russian working perhaps in Israel? This is just a guess, but might help you to narrow down your search.

Thanks. Maybe someone else can shed more light?
I am familiar with the Russian 84 mark. What is the Polish mark for 875? Any ideas? Still waiting for Tardy's book.
