razlym Posts: 3 Registered: Jan 2004	posted 01-30-2004 10:58 PM I am trying to figure out who manufactured it and approx. when. I figured out it is German because it has the marks of crescent moon & crown silver followed by the number 835. But then, it is followed by what appeared to be the Star of David. The order is: crescent moon/crown/835/Star of David. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you. Razly IP: Logged

Arg(um)entum Posts: 304 Registered: Apr 2002	posted 01-31-2004 12:13 AM That is the mark of 'Jakob Grimminger' in Schwäbisch Gmünd, a quite large enterprise. I don't have exact dates for it but it seems to have existed from the early part of the 20thC. into at least the 1960's, possibly a bit later. If you post a picture of your item, someone may be able to make a guess at the period of manufacture. IP: Logged
