Don't know what these items are made of? probably plate. Would like to find out more, to collect more! I've had the comb for a long time (it was my grandmothers), It always looked like the Denmark stuff, but not marked Denmark and seemed better quality and has hallmarks. I liked it and kept it. Recently I acquired a similar container that has similar or the same marks. The container is marked on the rim, D(tiny star)E inside a flower or sun, then some shape that looks like a house maybe with something in it?, then HH in a rectangle with pointed out ends, then 90( or a little 0 with something under it and next to a big 0? or g0?) Also hidden in the picture is the last 3 symbols.

The comb has a mark of the house, then HH in a rectangle with pointed out ends, then 90, or g0? Any known maker or date on these items? Were these forerunners to the popular Denmark stuff? Any info appreciated, Jan

Your pictures are good, but they must be no wider than 490 pixels to properly fit the page. The picture of the comb is too wide, and must be downsized. The fourth link should not have a space after the first [img], but it is a dead link anyway.

I understand the maker's mark is that of the Dutch coffee house of Douwe Egbert.
The other modern mark indicates that the piece is silver plated.
