I tried online to check the spratling marks, but couldn't match. The words are "mexico.d.f.", 925, plata, and sterling...I believe it probably originally said "hecho en mexico.d.f." IP: Logged
tuxedocat Posts: 12 Registered: Feb 2005	posted 02-08-2005 09:23 AM I can't find anything on the mark you describe, but I can tell you that your tea set was made in Mexico City. The D.F. stands for "Distrito Federal", which is Mexico City. You have a spread eagle that indicates that your tea set was made between 1900-1948. It is doubtful, although not completely impossible, that the mark belongs to a Taxco silversmith. Fawn IP: Logged
