Dad brought this silver tray home from Germany in 1945.

A fellow officer said he found it in a bombed out church(I think in Frankfurt).

It has 3 large coins in bottom of tray funf mark 1875,1888 &1888 with the German coat of arms above.

The hallmark looks like a tree inside a diamond a moon and crown.any ideas who the maker was?

A beautiful little tray about 6"lg and 5"wide.

I could use a little expertise..Thanks

Hi there,

A crescent moon and a crown is usually the German hallmarks for silver from about 1880 on.
As for the maker.. I have not got a clue.

This should help a little.

Thanks ....all

Any help is great. I'm not sure if its a tree inside the diamond or a spade. But that type of shape anyway.

Thanks a lot hon
