Hey all,

I have another piece of "silver" here.. Firstly I do not know what it is, but it looks as if it is an old oil lamp? There is no lid to be found... it measures about 5.5" tall to the top of the horses head. it is only marked twice. There are many mythological themes and motifs on this small piece. I have included pictures and my wonderful artistic rendition of each. Is it Silver? Silverplate? Old? Newer?

Don't worry everyone. This piece and the French piece that started a debate are the only two pieces I own, so I will not be hounding the experts of this board..

Take a look!

I can't tell what you have from the picture is that a spout? The mark is a pseudo mark I have seen before, it is late 19th early 20th either German or Italian.

The piece does have a spout which led me to believe that it is some sort of oil lamp. Perhaps an old cigar lamp?

Most cigar lighters have a vertical cylinder that holds the wick. It the spout actually pours it is not a cigar lighter or a lamp.
