Hi, everybody!

I missed you--I'm sorry I vanished for so long. I've been trying to finish a project, so I forced myself to avoid this addictive website. Then Dragonfly Cheryl very sweetly emailed me to see whether I'd been eaten by dragons, and now I'm addicted again. Thanks, Cheryl!!

Anyway, the fork. I couldn't resist this fun fork. It's Danish modern, an area I know pretty much nothing about, so I was hoping someone would recognize the pattern and maybe tell me a little about it.

It's a heavy, solid dinner fork, a little less than 8 inches long.

The crown end:

The marks, which seem to be those of Dansk Guldindustri:

Hi Polly!

Have seen that motif numerous times on sets of various types of spoons and forks along with some small serving pieces, they're nice quality souvenirs, made by several different makers. Don't know that it has a pattern name, but it is a representation of the Danish Royal Crown, a lovely piece that dates to 1670.

The piece is called Krone (crown)
Krone is danish for crown. It exists as a full set spoon, fork, knives , tea spoons etc etc.
