I have a lovely cloak clasp, both elements of which bear the same mark, which is unknown to me. I have visions of this clasp attached to a cloak of the finest cloth, worn about the shoulders of a very jaunty Venetian aristocrat... IP: Logged
blakstone Posts: 493 Registered: Jul 2004	posted 08-18-2007 02:33 AM More likely a German aristocrat; the mark is a false "pseudo-mark" used by one of the Hanau, Germany companies specializing in "Historical"-style silver in the late 19th and early 20th century. My research suggests that this mark was used by the firm of Georg Roth & Co. IP: Logged
