Hi Silverpunze,

Is it possible to send photo's with the objects were the marks belongs to?
I've tried to find out the G but they are not easy to find. Like Postinov wrote it could be Görlitz. When you see the differences of the letters G it is possible that there is a difference for time indication to give at each object. The second serie marks of your photo's(first one with figure twelve, is new to me concerning the shape in silver.
It is a shape what is used and perhaps is used with production of little gold ware.
I wonder why German cities used only a letter and others used beautiful townmarks?
When you can find other pieces concerning the shape of the figures it is also possible to find out which period the objects are made or recognized by pattern, decoration etc.
Succes and happy Christmas and a very happy New Year.

Hallo silverhunter,
thank You for Your answer.
the upper piece was a Pokal from 1844,
the other pieces are spoons (about from 1840-70).

Have You an Image of an reference book with Marks from Görlitz?
I have only a reference to page - but there are no images from the 19. Century. Zgorzelec / Gorlitz

I've only a few silvermark books, for instance by Jan Divis called silber stempel aus aller welt.
The crowned letter G is also to be find in it and concern for instance Paris. But until now the G mark is not be found. Internet has no special G marks from Germany, at some sites they inform international used marks but not many dated from Germany (19th century) I hope someone recognize your letter mark, my search will be done in 2010, still a few days to go!
Succes!
