Couldn't get a good enough photo to be of help so I will just describe the mark.
Impressed circular mark with a eagle perched on a rock?, cliff? or perhaps a tree. His wings are somewhat open and he is facing left and appears to have a snake in his mouth and has the number 7 on his chest. The pitcher itself is marked both sterling and 925 and is rather plain with only a scrolled border on the top. Any assistance appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am guessing that your piece is Mexican. The eagle is a standard mark re-introduced by the Mexican governement about 1948 and endorsed through about 1980 at which point it was officially abandoned by the government due to misusage. The number on the eagle was intended to identify a manufacturer, designer, maker or location. The stamp provided evidence of silver content and that taxes had been paid on the finished product. The eagle 7 has been seen on pieces by Codan, S.A. of Mexico City and Tane Orfebres also of Mexico City. This information was found in The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks by Billie Hougart.
