Does anyone have a Russian silver book?

I have a silver (*84) cigarette case with engraving and niello including the Russian word (Cyrillic letters) for Caucaus, and the maker's mark is FK ...Cyrillic also so the F looks like 2 joined circles side by side on top of a pole. (too bad it's not KF)

There is also a stamp with initials IE (the Cyrillic I is like an N with the center stroke of the N backwards)over the date 1871. This would seem to be an owner's mark.

I have glimpsed an engraved with niello silver belt in a coffee table book on Russian silver of identical design to my case, and this book stated that it was made at Khodzhaev workshop in Petersburg c.1900, but as stated the stamped date on my piece is 1871. I understand that the items made at Khodzhaev included lots of lower quality mass market stuff, but that there were also some very fine things produced there, just fewer of them.

Vera.

The mark you picture is not in my book, the one you don't picture is a maker's mark. It is in the book, but listed as "unknown".

FK (Latin) is the silversmith KOTOV Fedor Aleksejev
IE(Latin)over 1871 is the assaymaster in St. Petersburg working from 1870-1891, his name is until today unknown, but the Russians work on their past..
