I need help figuring out where to even start with identifying this fork. It measures 6 1/4 inches in length. The mark to the left is some sort of circular mark with a wreath of bellflower-like design and something like a fleur de lis in the middle-it's fairly rubbed so difficult to determine.

I believe that's the mark for Basel, late 18C to very early 19C, and the A-hand-H presumably the maker.

Exactly so. The maker is Abel Handmann (1715-1788), Master 1745. The Basel city mark in this form was used as early as the 1730's; based on the style of your fork, I'd date it ca. 1750. Nice find!

Thank you both!

This was actually found by my stepson on his first trip out antiquing with me-not a bad first item for his collection!
