I recently asked for identification of a mark and was told it was Wm. Hutton & Sons of London & Sheffield. Can anyone tell me what dates they were in business?

William Hutton & Sons Ltd chronology as per The Directory of Gold & Silversmiths Jewellers & Allied Traders 1838-1914 - John Culme

William Hutton & Son 1864-
William Hutton & Sons c.1870-1893
William Hutton & Sons Ltd 1893-c.1930
Goodwill transferred to James Dixon & sons Ltd. 1930

As a footnote, William Hutton & Sons is credited with being the first to use a newly discovered base metal called Argentine.
