Please can you help?

I have a silver salver. Made in Chester in 1906 the makers mark is HEB set in a shield which I cannot find. Have you got any clues?

Many thanks,
Mike T.

Just a guess, but could it be Herbert Edward Barker who was later in partnership with his brother, Frank Ernest Barker? The Barkers were Birmingham manufacturers but frequently used the Chester assay office.

Many thanks.

You may well be right as there is another set of marks under the HEB . the first looks as if it could be F . I can't make out middle letter but the last is a B .

Thanks again ,
Mike T.
