We have a number of items including a teapot with the maker's mark:

PB
AB
WB

The other marks on the teapot indicate it was made in London in 1802.

We also have some spoons which have the maker's mark

PB
AB

These spoons do not seem to have been made in London, as was the teapot, as the year marks do not seem to match up with any that I have seen for London.

Does anyone know who the maker could have been, or anything about them?

Thanks,
Peter

The names that go with these initials are Peter, Ann, and William Bateman, members of the family of the famous Hester Bateman. Use the Forum search function and search under Bateman in the British Forum and the General Forum for more information.

Thank you very much for your quick response. There is quite a bit in the net about them, I see, and some of it seems to be a bit contradictory. We also have a few spoons made by them. We will enjoy our tea pot and we now know how to find out more about it.

Thanks again.
