We received our issue of the March/April Silver Magazine today. The featurette on "The Shiebler - Redlich Connection" looks great. Thank you Silver Magazine for so fairly demonstrating what happens here at the Silver Salon Forums.

We knew they were going to do this. In fact, we were able to make suggestions. We were a little worried about how well the low resolution forum images would look in print. We think Silver Magazine's page/type/layout people did a great job. The images look wonderful!

The featurette makes the Silver Salon Forums sound very inviting and we are hopeful that this will convince our quiet members to join in more often and help some silverphiles to discover the Silver Salon Forums.

If you don't have a subscription to Silver Magazine, you should consider it. We are discussing several more possible articles.

Thanks again Silver Magazine!

Scott & June

I requested a subscription several weeks ago and haven't heard a thing and haven't received a bill, either.

Silver Magazine has never looked better and Scott your contribution from the Silver Salon Forum is a great addition and I hope it continues. I think that the Silver Magazine is in good hands and who knows maybe someday their company will put out a companion magazine on ceramics.

Outwest, the Left(Out) Coast is always behind in receiving the magazine. Whenever an East Coast subscriber mentions somethimg in a new issue of the magazine, I know to look for mine several days later -- often a week or more! That's why they call it "snail mail."

I received my magazine the other day. It's wonderful!

Everyone in the house had to read it (but not until after I did).

One problem, though. It referred to buckwheat cake servers shown in a previous issue. frown

I have a buckwheat cake server by John Polhamus pat.1857. The engraving is beautiful, but the pattern is rather plain - very reminiscent of 'Olive'(almost like he copied it? or did others copy him?). I sure would have liked to see those buckwheat cake servers!
