I bought 2 bracelets for my wife from a pawn shop. They both have H.I. coin silver stamped on them. Can anyone help with the age or the makers of these bracelets. My wife loves them and would like to have more info on them.

Welcome to the forum. Please do not post a query to more than one forum.

The mark doesn't ring any bells; images of it and the pieces would be a great help in judging their age and origin. Please see How to Post Photos.

These are Navajo circa 1930s. The maker's mark (which I have always read as "IH" but I don't know for certain) turns up frequently, leading me to believe s/he was a prolific maker or that the initials stood for a workshop that was producing many items. These were made right when Navajo jewelry was becoming a hot tourist item. I don't believe coin silver was used by Navajos much beyond the late 1930s. I have had some of these bracelets myself in the past, and they are usually nice pieces.
