Hi I have a silver dish 7" in diameter with the following markings going from left to right:
    A
    some kind of stylised plant
    a lion?
    a crown
    the initials MP
Any information at all would greatly appreciated, such as age, place of manufacture, maker, basically any information.

Thanks

Hi. For me (perhaps not for other more experts here) I would need a photo to see whether your mark is from the United Kingdom. Can you post a pic? Rgds TBC

Sorry - You will need to post a pic that we can see. This seems like a sketch and I, for one, cannot make it out. Maybe others can...

Best rgds,

I think the mark you describe (and illustrate) is that of the UK silver plater Thomas Prime & Sons; check Identification please (click here) for more information.
