Appreciate help to identify the mark on this silverplated pitcher,8" high x 7.75" wide x 3-5/8" deep. Not all areas are legible, but this is what I can read:
_. J. DE_AN
NEW YORK
8 OZ.
PLATE

Welcome to the Silver Salon Forum.

Good job posting the images. Interesting stuff. If you read the Yellow Box above and the Guidelines you will note that the SFF is not the place to do business research.

"The SSF is for discussion and sharing our mutual passion/interests in silver/precious metal artifacts. Commercial/promotional aspects should be avoided."

"Dealers/sellers with questions about, and an academic interest in, the object(s) they have for sale should prepare their post in advance (take photos and prepare a write up) but wait to submit the post until after the business/sale is concluded or the conflict is resolved. This will ensure that there is no conflict with the SSF Guidelines."

If you share a mutual interest in silver then we would love to see and hear about the items that come across your desk but only after you have concluded your business.

Knowing more about your personal interests about silver would be helpful.

Apologies to the list for the misunderstanding.
I thought if I posted items that were not being sold they would fall within the guidelines. I appreciate the correction.
