Hello,

I would like help in dating(decade?) a Gero tray and two cups.

I bought these from a young couple, it had belonged to a grandmother.

All three pieces have the markings

  1. D in a square,
  2. GERO in an elongated hexagon,
  3. A60 in a truncated pyramid.

The tray is of oval shape, 8 7/8" long by 4 3/4" wide by 3/8" high. It is plain but heavy. The two cups are triangular is shape with a round base. They are 3" from a flat side to the point of a corner and 1 3/4" high. One cup has a handle, one does not. The cups are a little heavier than normal, very polished, and have no ornamentation.

I am thinking that these may be Art Deco???

Thank you for any help or leads!

Marc

hallo and welcome to the forum. You should try to take a picture. Style is difficult to evaluate when one cannot see the item.
The Gero fabrik is from the Netherlands and your item is silverplated. The 60 would describe the thickness of the plate.

Try to read how to post pictures. then we can see regarding style etc.
