I have two handhammered pieces of flatware with a "000" mark. I am not sure if they are three letter O's or three zeros. Does anyone have any info on this hallmark. Thanks.

Hi, and welcome!

Check out the thread below titled (925)(1000). Is that that the mark? If not, let me know; there are a few other possibilities.

Hi Brent,

I will check out my pieces when I get home. It never occured to me that it might be "1000" rather than "000". I do remember the 925 mark being there.

I am new to this forum. How does one attach a picture to a question?

Thank you.

To post photos in a Silver Salon Forum the process is similar to putting a photo on eBay but it is easier.

That's it.

Click here to read more about the other UBB code tags.

It is recommended that the maximum image width should not exceed 490 pixels at 72 dpi.

To help you get started you may e-mail me your photo and I will put it up on our server so you can post it.

Photo editing adjustments like sizing, cropping etc. can be a more involved topic. Equally large a subject is all the different ways to store an image on the Internet. If you want to know some other approaches take a look at these posts:

Thanks Scott. I appreciate the help very much. I normally use auctionwatch to post photos for things I put on Ebay. I will see if I can give that a try.

With regards to the marks I had questions on. One piece says 925 1000 but the "1" is very faint. The other you can only see 925 000 but the 000 is not clearly impressed so there may have been a "1" there too but it is not visible.

Please click here to view the post Brent mentioned, if you haven't already. It is definitely about the same mark. The "1" in "1000" is often hard to make out.

Yes, thank you. My mark is the same as the one in topic called 925 1000. Thanks so much for the help.
